Dreaming of a Brighter World

Is it delusional to dream of a world where skies are blue, clouds are marshmallow white, and colors dance across the horizon like a living rainbow? A place where smiles come easier and connection feels natural?

Maybe. But I don’t think so. I believe we get glimpses of this world every time we choose love over fear, unity over isolation, hope over despair.

Life has its bumps — sometimes they’re just small speed bumps, sometimes they’re jagged and hard to get over. But we do get over them. And the best way to do that is together.

Sometimes I just need someone to hold my hand. Not to fix anything, but simply to stand with me in love and support. And yes, sometimes even in guidance.

I imagine this is what it feels like to be a child, an adolescent — safe in the knowing that someone has your back. I didn’t always have that. But I am living it now, through my children. It’s not always easy. In fact, it’s hard.

But every day, I make a choice: to break generational trauma. To fight for something better. And though it is a battle, it is the most worthwhile one I will ever fight. Because they — my children — are my heart, my soul, and my healing.

I believe the world becomes brighter when even one person takes a stand for love, for kindness, for connection. I imagine a better world because I am trying to build it within my own family. And I know I’m not alone.

So many others are on this same path — healing, growing, breaking cycles, choosing love. To every single one of you: I see you. I am proud of you. And I love you. 💛
